I shopped for and sold books at Henderson Books for the last four years...Until today. I went to the store with my toddler (age 3) to pick out a book for his birthday and endured an icy attitude from both shopkeepers. One of them even scolded my son for touching the books. In the children's fairytale section, no less! I will never return to Henderson Books, and advise anyone with little ones to avoid going in there with them. The staff will be anything but helpful, and probably very rude.

I would live in this book store if I could. it is one of my favorite places. The owner seems to know the answer to my every question, book inquiry, very helpful when looking for a gift book, he even most often knows what he has in stock. Which is fantastic as the store is large. Very comfortable setting, perfect for browsing. Lots of surprises.
Pros: VERY knowledgeable , very organized, awesome variety
Cons: i love to far away :(, not open 24 hours, i can't buy everythin
