The Scene
This lovely Victorian-style inn offers warm hospitality and lots of privacy. There is a large common area but no front desk. Instead, the owner takes care of details as he walks guests to their rooms. Complimentary breakfast is served on fine linens at individual tables, unlike the communal dining found in most bed and breakfasts.
The Details
This 16-room inn has 12 romantic guest suites with king beds, spa tubs, fireplaces and decks or balconies. Each has a view of fertile Skagit Valley farmlands and the Cascade Mountains in the distance. All rooms are individually decorated. The most popular is the Cloud Room. This suite is adorned with netting over the bed and murals of clouds. A full-service restaurant is open Friday and Saturday. Budding gourmands can take lessons from the chef.
